Julie Kozisek is a Professor of Education at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska, where she teaches literacy courses to undergraduate and graduate students. She also serves as the Director of Elementary Education and Career Education.

Her areas of expertise included balanced literacy practices, writing instruction infusing the writing process, writing workshop and the traits of writing and authentic assessment practices. Julie works with schools across the state of Nebraska to provide professional staff development, as well as presenting at the national, state, and local levels. Julie also works for BER — the Bureau of Education and Research as a professional speaker.

Her co-presenter is Michelle Rezek. She is Principal of Hamlow Elementary School in Waverly. Michelle previously taught for 10 years and served as a K-6 Literacy Coach for 6 years. She also teaches literacy classes as an adjunct professor for Doane College and has provided professional development at the local, state and international level.
